| 33 | كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ | The people of Lut rejected (his) warning. | The people of Lut treated the warning. as a lie. | The folk of Lot rejected warnings. |
| 39 | فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ | "So taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." | So taste My chastisement and My warning. | Now taste My punishment after My warnings! |
| 47 | إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ | Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. | Surely the guilty are in error and distress. | Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. |
| 52 | وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ | All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds). | And everything they have done is in the writings. | And every thing they did is in the scriptures. |
| 53 | وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌ | Every matter, small and great, is on record. | And everything small and great is written down. | And every small and great thing is recorded. |
